The London based graduates from London College of Fashion kicked off Day 2 of LCM with a show that brought back the sporty in stripes. Unlike adidas’ signature style, Baartmans and Siegel opted to push their jewelled navies and dark greens into their AW Collection and mix it with fur for the ultimate laid back sport-luxxe feel.
Smart, tailored trousers in navy and charcoal were mixed up with a green tartan print to give the collection a nod to heritage tailoring. Striped bomber jackets were complimented with simple accessories; aviator sunglasses and a large grey furred hat. Reoccurring trends? Leather joggers, and simple zip up tops put the sexy into sporty.
The jacket seems to be the key piece to nail for the season, long black trench coats, short shaggy sapphire blues, and a dedication to hooded furs kept the collection classic with a sporty feel. The best jacket of them all? A navy and cobalt blue zig-zagged long belted trench, paired with simple white sneakers and tailored trousers for a simple weekend look. This collection epitomised the new ‘London cool’ and with the sport trend not leaving winter wardrobes, it’s hard to make it feel more luxe than this.
