Beau Homme Autumn/Winter 19
February 20, 2019
We are always upbeat about nice clothes, but when it comes to Beau Homme, we are all over the place due to their artistic yet wearable creations.
Our Fashion Editor, Thomas Falkenstedt has dived into this divine collection where sportswear meets art meets ethical fashion.
Beau Homme is all about transforming traditional menswear into unique styles to express male individuality.
Where in previous seasons this has been harnessed and explored, AW19 is no exception. After meeting in the workrooms of London College of Fashion, the British menswear brand was founded by designers George Bunker and Justin Mansfield.
Their distinctive, dynamic style is infused with cultural and artistic influences creating innovative and functional designs.
Autumn/winter 19 for Beau Homme sees the potential redefinition of masculinity, with looks to foster strength of character beyond traditional male archetypes.
Geometric printed shirts, abstract bombers and printed jumpsuits fulfil a contemporary and modernistic style blurring the lines between street and formal wear.
A collation of different textures alongside alternative layerings channel the brand’s unique style for the season. The use of orange, grey and blue hues align with popular colour trends; this colour palette acts as a foundation for embroidered designs and busy print.
Beau Homme’s focus on function and quality are contributed to by an ethical stance as they wish to build a better world for present generations, environmentally and socially.
Functionality within the AW19 collection is articulated through the crafting a variety of versatile garments that can be styled for multiple occasions. This allows the modern male to be fully effective in his professional and casual lifestyle with an offbeat elegance.
Functionality and ease of wear are not compromised by Beau Homme’s unprecedented aesthetic.
The Made in the UK label ensures the high level of quality and true craftsmanship for the collection; use of British fabric suppliers allows full monitoring and transparency of production.
Where in contemporary men’s fashion there seems to be limitations for expression, Beau Homme completely contradicts this, encouraging men to explore their personal style in this collection, being true to their original styles.
