Candid Rocks the Shopcade Party Bus at LFW

6th March 2014

The Shopcade London Fashion Week double decker party bus was one of the most talked about and visited events of the season. As the world’s largest social shopping app, celebrities, bloggers, editors, stylists, musicians and even an Olympic athlete flocked to the bus and enjoyed tracks spun by guest DJs including female indie rockers Fake Club, Hoxton Radio’s David Preshaah, Gabby Young of Gabby Young and Other Animals, The Glitter Beats and our very own editor-in-chief, Josh White.

See Candid’s fashion editor Jordan Porteous talk to Shopcade’s Fabienne Hebrand:

Certified as the celebrity hangout of LFW, Radio One’s Sarah Jane-Crawford, fashion legend, Hilary Alexander, MTV’s Lilah Parsons, celebrity stylist Rebekah Roy, V V Brown, Diana Vickers, The Heartbreaks and Arielle Free came to the party, as well as Philip Colbert, artist and designer of The Rodnik Band – who did a T-shirt collaboration with Shopcade in the form of a Warhol-esque soup can emblazoned with ‘Rodnik Shopcade: So Hot Soup’.

‘Shopcade Mojitos’ were served in between shows and editors from the likes of VOGUE.CO.UK, The Sunday Times Style, The Independent, InStyle, W Magazine, The Untitled Magazine, LOVE, The Telegraph, Notion, Stylenoir, Hunger, PHOENIX and Disorder were spotted hanging out on the upper or lower deck with team Candid: editors-in-chiefs Josh White and Danny Keeling and fashion editor Jordan Porteous.

The lower deck housed the open bar and the DJ decks, while the upper deck was all about ‘getting ridiculously good looking’ with Henry Holland manicures from Elegant Touch and mini makeovers courtesy of the world’s leading backstage makeup company, AOFM Pro.
The LFW bus was designed to bring the app to life. Set up in 2011 by Nathalie Gaveau, Marie-Barbe Girard, Hoon Kim, and Evan Adelman, Shopcade is the source for daily trending, celebrity and blogger style, and exclusive deals from brands, where Shopcaders can click through to buy. The site and mobile app garner over 2,000,000 page views monthly and currently accommodate over 700,000 users. The app is not kidding when it says it is THE one-stop shop for fashion, the world over.
