London Fashion Week With Freddy Parker
February 1, 2017
We’re pleased to announce that British singer Freddy Parker will be writing a style diary for Candid Magazine over London Fashion Week this February. Freddy rose to fame while appearing on ITV’s X Factor (2016), where his classic soulful voice won him a legion of fans including record producer Calvin Harris.
The young singer is very interested in fashion and will be attending a variety of events over London Fashion Week, including the Grooming Room: Women’s Edit’s star-studded, rooftop launch party at Century Club and a number of catwalk shows including N&S GAIA, CIMONE, Fashion DNA and One’s To Watch. The latter two will be styled by Candid’s creative director and globally renowned stylist, Rebekah Roy.
N&S GAIA has been marked as one to watch and is a contemporary label from New Delhi. Founded by designer, Sidharth Sinha. The brand will be making its second London Fashion Week catwalk appearance at Fashion Scout. The autumn/winter 2017 collection will revolve around nature photography and existential transformation.
Hot-tipped as the off-schedule show not to miss, CIMONE will return to London Fashion Week. Androgynous shapes in exaggerated proportions and bold statement pieces will return where symmetry and asymmetry will collide in a discordant universe, inspired by dystopian narratives and Brutalist lines.
After seven years at Stella McCartney, time spent as design director at Alexander Wang, head of show collection at Emilio Pucci, and most recently head of womenswear at McQ, Alexander McQueen, Carli Pearson launched her own label, CIMONE on the Fashion Scout catwalk during London Fashion Week last September. The collection was met with critical acclaim, most notably from Forbes who signalled that brand as a an up-and-coming star of the runway.
Freddy will be reporting directly to Candid Magazine, keeping us updated with his favourite street style looks, news from the front row, the parties and of course what he’s wearing throughout London Fashion Week.
