MR PORTER launched Stella McCartney’s first menswear collection on their site last week. The long-awaited menswear collection explores the boundary-pushing subcultures that define British style.
Stella McCartney studied under Savile Row stalwart, Mr Edward Sexton, bringing this tailoring expertise to her debut menswear line. Inspired by art, subculture and her father Sir Paul, the collection is a sophisticated fusion of street and formalwear.
The collection is an eclectic mix of forward-looking casualwear, bohemian sweaters, and retro denim. Stella McCartney‘s collection is inspired by two definitively British aesthetics, the clothes her father wore in the ‘60s and those sported by ‘90s ravers.
This season, MR PORTER will carry twenty-four ready-to-wear pieces from the collection, sevel of which launched on the MR PORTER on Friday the 13th of January. We’ve selected some of our favourite pieces for you below:
The Intarsia Cotton Sweater, £565. This sweater is knitted from cotton and woven with an orange zigzag instarsia giving it a colour pop and edge. Wear yours with straight-leg trousers and old-school sneakers.
Printed cotton-jersey T-Shirt, £165. This T-Shirt is cut for a relaxed fit, printed with a ‘Members and Non Member Only’ nods to the halcyon days of rave.
Oversized cashmere and wool blend sweater, £570. This contrasting crew neck and bold chevron detail giving it a sporty feel.
