Conceived in the brand’s own Veneto-based atelier, Parajumpers’ latest collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 season brings athleisure-flavoured outerwear to the next level.
Our Fashion Editor, Thomas Falkenstedt, explains why we also need Parajumpers in the summer.
Our article about the Parajumpers AW18 collection was titled A Hot Choice for Freezing Temperatures. The title for this one could equally well be A Cool Choice for a Hot Summer.
This summer is all about the redefinition of Parajumpers’ luxury outerwear expertise. Massimo Rossetti, the brand’s creative director, writes a new striking chapter for his three iconic lines. They come with a brand-new technical twist and an off-duty summer feeling.
The Masterpiece line features nylon outerwear with a soft touch and a nonchalant wrinkle effect in a lightweight format for the summer.
The Cotton Remastered line, on the other hand, is crafted from stone-washed feather-light three-layer cotton fabric with full water and wind protection. The line features military-inspired pockets, tapes and zippers – all in the spirit of Parajumpers.
The Windbreaker collection, for its part, also features a limited edition component – a collaboration with Yoshinori Ono.
Drawing on the essential staples that built Parajumpers’ DNA throughout the years, this SS19 collection also features brand-new capsule collections.
Made for adventurous summer explorers, the Round Trip capsule features easy-to-wear travel essentials that ensure comfort and mobility with a soft-hand stretch knitted fabric, while the Starway collection features form-fitting nylon outerwear pieces in a bright colour palette.
Pushing boundaries as always, Parajumpers has challenged the traditional codes of outerwear with premium capsule collections designed those who will only settle for the best style and quality.
