How the Duo Keeps Up with Hysteria Radio and their Music Tour
bingo-players-mode-zippy-17Bingo Players is a duo of electro house DJs and producers from the Netherlands that was acclaimed for reviving popular hits such as “Tom’s Diner” by Suzanne Vega and “Cry (Just A Little)” which was taken from the song “Piano in the Dark” by Brenda Russell. Their single “Get Up (Rattle)” stayed at the number one spot on the UK Top 40 Singles Chart for two weeks. The duo’s collaboration with Far East Movement in the remix of their original hit “Rattle” also made it big on the European Singles Charts. The duo definitely have come a long way from playing in local bingo halls to huge festivals. Their hard work and dedication paid off because Bingo Players is now recognized worldwide.

Just when the Dutch duo is set to conquer the world with their international music tour and radio show, a disheartening news was released by Paul Baumer on the Bingo Players’ official website last month. Those who don’t know who Paul is, he is the other half of the duo, and he was recently diagnosed with cancer. The other member is Maarten Hoogstraten, who is now representing Bingo Players on his own for their tours while Paul continues to work in the studio.

Despite the devastating news, the DJs remain having a positive attitude towards the situation. Just like the game of bingo, players don’t lose hope if they don’t win. They continue to play because they enjoy what they do and the rewards will just be the icing on the cake. The passion of Bingo Players with music is amazing just like the bingo freaks who spend most of their time playing at the Fiesta Casino Bingo or at FoxyBingo. Paul and Maarten, on the other hand, have always been busy producing and spreading their music. Paul said, “Bingo Players has been about me and Maarten sharing the music that we love, both through our records and with you at shows.”

For Bingo Players, the show must go on, and you can expect them to rattle different parts of the world. They will be playing in the USA, Spain, Germany, France, Puerto Rico, Mexico, United Kingdom, and Australia. You can also hear their latest remixes every month through their show called Hysteria Radio via iTunes.
