Woolrich Summer Cargos & Camo

At the crossroads where life outdoors – far off the well-beaten path – and the urban dynamism of the city meet amid the changing seasons, contemporaneity and multi-purpose designs take shape in the new spring/summer collection from Woolrich. Candid’s Thomas Falkenstedt takes a peek and sees himself wearing most of the collection as it is the perfect blend between outdoorsy and preppy meets street.

The search for the perfect balance between the great outdoors and the city is expressed by Woolrich through convertible garments, stratified in multifunctional layers, easily flowing from one use to the next, just like the passage of the seasons.

Woolrich truly captivates the soul of boy meets nature meets street. This summer they also want to strengthen their presence in the world of footwear with a project which echoes the values of the iconic brand. Born of the union between the high-performance elements that outdoor footwear is known for and urban, contemporary design, this collection introduces refined aspects to the most outdoorsy models and technical elements to the most metropolitan models.

A symbol of the mix between the outdoors and life in the city, however, the trail boot comes in high and low-top versions: the Vibram running sole meets essential, minimalist, clean lines with a fluorescent twist for contrast. In-lined suede, the Air Mash model is comfortable as you hike mountain trails or pound the hot pavement in the heart of the city.

The most outdoorsy soul shines through in this spring’s outerwear: the soft shell Plum Run Track Jacket is both waterproof and breathable, and features light padding in Thermore Ecodown – perfect for fluctuating temperatures. A metamorphic, quick-to-adapt attitude is perfectly captured by the Pacific Jacket with an adjustable hood, breathable fabric, and pockets sealed by waterproof zips.

The colour palette is a voyage in neutral tones, hues of the forest floor, beige, greys and deep-sea blues, which act as the backdrop for bright, colourful flashes of yellow and Klein blue on the outerwear.

If the reversible Travel jackets and Shore jackets are coloured with paisley and camouflage prints, colonial elegance adapted for a safari, the Crew Bomber in cotton twill, the Southbay Bomber and the Gore pack light in bright red, look to other latitudes, more specifically, to the American East Coast.

All the styles are available on their website.
